Celebrating our Red, White and Mew Quiet-Style

Tessa and Pia say: We kittens from long ago, who are BIG cats now remember the year we first were introduced to the 4th of July, and flowers! Our Mom said loud flowers were better than loud bangs and booms, and for once, we agree! Now that we're older and much, much wiser, we listen to our Mom on this day and stick to her like glue because we know she has a treat in store for us later on.

She makes us a big fort with blankets and boxes and scratchy things and toys that we can play with while we're hiding from loud sounds outside. And later, she joins us with a flashlight and books and treats and a brushie or two and snuggles, and then, she reads to us from kitty books she's collected over the years. We like that a lot! It turns a scary night into one, um, not so scary. We're all together and that makes outside noises not so bad.

America, we're glad you're having celebrations today. And if you don't mind, we'll celebrate in our own way. Happy Birthday!

Happy TockTober!

Happy TockTober, dear Angel Derby! We know you are rocking your 'tocks there at the Bridge. Meanwhile, Miss Newton, the official 'Tock Rocker (tm) of Colehaus Cats, shows off her mini-'tock pose, her half-'tock position, and lastly (and in their full glory), full 'tocks.

Thank you, Ducky, Ducky's mum, and Angel Derby for hosting TockTober 2017!

Miss Newton's Inner Lioness

Miss Newton says, "I'm not always the sweet, gentle, Dad-lovin' ginger girl you may think I am. Sometimes, I'm a sweet, gentle, Dad-lovin' lioness who gets what she wants or else..... You're gonna hear me ROAR!!!!!"

"But to be honest, I always get what I want. Mostly. Thanks, Gracie, for letting me let my Roar out!"

Naughty? What's Naughty?

Tessa, a.k.a. Danger Cat says: We don't have any naughty kitties here. Honest! See, I was just checking out mom's smoothie and no, it wasn't me who got some blueberry juice on my paw and flung it all over the computer screen... and window blinds... and papers... and wall... it must have been someone else 'cause none of us are naughty, like, ever!

We don't have any naughty kitties here. Certainly none that would give anyone a heart attack by jumping onto the 22-foot drop off ledge...

Just to go on a walk on the wild side, you know, to prove it could be done.

Now about those accidents...

That was just a big misunderstanding because we don't have any naughty kitties here. Nope, nothing to see here. Move along...

Crazy Fun with some Colehaus Girls

Thanks, sweetie Gracie, for hosting this Fun Fotos event today!  We have fun morning, noon, and night, especially when the Dad gets out our Neko mousie. Sometimes, some of us get all crazy-pants, while others who will not be named, didn't want anyone to see how much fun she was actually having.

She was having a blast. Trust us. Her whisker pouches might have been quivering and everything. Moving on...

Baby sister Viola, also known as the Squirt, loves the Neko mousie. You'll have to excuse her. Her fur costume zipper might be showing a wee bit here.

But the one who gets into fun the most is mama Zuzu, or Patrol Sergeant Zuzu to us. It's true! No one dared ask if she had a permit to go all crazy-pants on that Neko mousie, but we think because she tempers it with moments of calm, that's okay. Hey, anything to help burn off her patrolling energy, right?

Here's what we're talking about. We present the Calm Zuzu:

Followed by the Crazy-pants Zuzu:

You know we're having a fun time when she moves so fast, everything goes blurry! And to think this happens every evening! Hope your fun times are every bit as much of a blast as ours. Thanks again, Gracie! Thanks for letting us share our fun!

For my Mancat Dexter, with love...

Today is me and my special love, ginger Mancat Dexter's first love anniversary! I've been looking forward to this day for what feels like forever! Oh, D, a year ago when I confessed all my loves to you, I knew you were the best Mancat on all the Interwebs. You send me postcards and photos and make me feel so loved. Ladies, find yourselves one like Dexter, but paws off! He's mine! And then, *SQUEEEE* he sent me presents for our special day!

Dexter included a love letter. With purple violets on it! How I love these special notes! Here I am reading bits of it to baby sister Viola who Just.Does.Not.Get.It.

What? You want to hear what it says? *blush* Sorry, that's private! MOL!

Now, see all the pretty purple? Purple is my favorite color and D remembers this all the time! One of the many ways I feel his love.

So, naturally, I have to play with smooth out some of that pretty purple crinkly paper because, well,... it's purple and it's all the way from my sweetheart Dexter!

Finally, it was time to get down to opening D's gifts. Such good smells! So good, I had to nom on one or two a little. I hope you don't mind, D. The whiffies were incredible!

And then I nommed on a tasty mousie tail... that is two kinds of purple! D love, I hope you have a pretty purple mousie too because this is the best! Thank you!

And then even further, the best of the best, better than the jingle ball and the crinkly ball (both pretty purple!), better than the purple feather ball (that I had to lick and lick and lick for a while because... FEATHERS!), and even better than the extra special jar of nippy flowers, "Fleur de Nip" that I'll sprinkle on my bed at night so I'll dream of D, is my love's portrait in a purple frame! Oh, D! You are so handsome. It's like you're here with me! *happy tears*

Just to make him really seem like he's here beside me, I brought him a beautiful nippy pillow that Dexter's Mom made special for me! And it matches a beautiful kick stick! Thank you, Dexter's Mom!

Then, it was back to licking those feathers... but just for a minute or two. Because I have to gaze at my darling D some more. Isn't he dreamy?

Dexter, you've made me the happiest ginger princess in all the world. Even though you are far away, I feel you are here with me always. Sweetheart, thank you for making our first love anniversary so special.

Happy Anniversary, my love. I hope you like what I sent you to celebrate our loves. May your day be filled with happiness and joy!

All my purrs and loves,
your 'lil bean, Pia
