Twas the Tabbies before Christmas...

...and all through the house, mom and dad were stirring, and baking, and wrapping, and... well you get the idea.

Since mom had a moment this morning, we thought we would send our special Holiday wishes to all our friends and loved ones in the club, the blogosphere and everywhere in the world.  We consider our best gifts this year are the gifts of fun, laughter, family (honorary ones too!) and love (especially the cute ginger tabby kind.... *Dexter, hush, I'm being sentimental here... geesh*).  ANYWAY...

So whatever you celebrate, wherever you celebrate and however you celebrate (remember, Axial Tilt is the REAL reason for the season! MOL!)  we send the best and brightest wishes to you and yours.

Meowy Catmas Eve

Meowy Catmas Eve from Sonora & Chili Pepper, and all the Purries of Purrchance To Dream.
No one should be alone on Christmas Eve, so our own Little Isis is helping to host the Hot(M)BC  8th Annual Catmas Eve Chatzy Party.  It is from 3pm EST to 3am EST.
Everyone is invited, and Little Isis will be hosting from 6pm EST to midnight, so we hope you can pop in to Chatzy and say Hello and Merry Christmas!

First Big Snow

Today is the first measurable snowfall of year at my place.
You can see that I am taking advantage of our snow day by hang out and catching some much needed zzzzs. I am laying on my really soft blankie right next to mom's chair. Oh it gets better than this . . .

. . . you see my blankie is placed over the heat register that is on the floor. The mom here knows just how to take such good care of me. I am going to really enjoy this weekend as I have heard that the folks are going no where today and tomorrow. Yeah! I say bring o the snow.

Moosey's Yoga Purrfections! :)

Hi everybuddy! It's me, Moosey! Fanks to my buddy Swami Zoe for holding this really awesome and relaxing event.  You know, I learned lots about yoga from my angel brother Sammy.  I sure do miss him (and so do Mom and Dad).

Here are Angel Sammy and me, practicing partner meditation and Parsvashavasana (side corpse pose).  And in a sunpuddle, too! :)

And here I am, more recently, in the Balasana (kitten pose).

Ahhhhhhh. I'm feeling warm and refreshed now. And ready to check out all my Tabby Cat Club friends' yoga practices!  As Swami Zoe would say, "Me-Ommmmm," everybuddy!

Swami Zoe's Yoga Purrfections! Me-Ommmmm!

Me-Ommmmm Efurryone! I am sooo blissed-out about this yoga event here at The Tabby Cat Club! Thank you to all who pawticipate in posts and in spirit! Me-Ommmmm!

I decided to share a few more of my favorite warming yoga poses and practices, including a Pranayama (breathing) practice! These pictures are all featured in my book:

Shavasana (corpse pose) - great to do on your
warmest blanket. Wrap yourself if you
feel a chill! And smile! :-)

Supta Marjari Asana (reclining cat pose) -
 I believe cat pose is self-explanatory.
Here I am showing it on the preferred reclining
position. The frightened standing version can
be quite chilly!

Seektari Pranayama (hissing breathing) -
I thought I'd add this practice in just in
case some of you get over-heated trying out
efurryone's favorite poses. Seektari is well known
for cooling the body and the mind.

I hope efurryone has lots of fun and stays nice and warm practicing yoga and meditation all winter long and fur years to come! Me-Ommmmm my natural yogicats!

I think we cats are naturals for yoga positions!!!  We've got the flexibility the humans will NEVER have!!!

Here I am showing my pre-yoga stretch.  Notice how I really stretch out my spine.  While I was stretched out I figured it was a good time to give my tail a bath!!

After a good stretch the upward leg pose is easy to do...

Is it okay for me to share this, here, with all of you?  Oh, I do hope it is.  Don't wanna get my paws slapped or anythin' like that and at first, I wasn't gonna take the chance but...

But this is such an important message that I simply had to risk it and share.

Right now, there's a big votin' thing going on in Canada and I'm tryin' to support a cause right here in my home province, Nova Scotia.  Anyone can vote.  From anywhere in the world!  And since Nova Scotia is a small province and the community in which these cats live is super-duper small, they sure do need the support of peeps from all over the world.  They need the support of the cat community, for sure.

If Emily's Place Spay and Neuter Outreach Society makes it to the finals, they're guaranteed a grant.  They could get $5000!  Wow, that sure would help a lot of kitties get spayed and neutered.  That sure would help a lot.  But currently, they're in thirtieth place.  They need to be in the top ten in order to be a finalist.

Anywho...  I blogged all about 'em on Sunday in my post, "let's ALL do our bit" on Nerissa's Life.  If you'd like to help the kitties of Amherst, Nova Scotia, all the necessary links can be found there.
