Indy 500 early morning with Raz

Hi all, Raz here!   I hope you're having a pawsome day here at the Tabby Cat Club.  Indy 500 day is sooo exciting!!!

I got here early to check out the Pace Car and make sure I was ready for some of the special events.
Sunrise at the speedway is such a nice peaceful time.

I stopped at the concession and grabbed a  cup of nip tea and took it out to the pace car.....yep...
everything looks good!

Pretty soon the action will start....I hope you stick around or, if you have to leave, come back often to enjoy the rest of the day.

Racing Fever!

The Indy500 - right here at the Tabby Cat Club......!   This is so exciting and I'm PART of the excitement!  I'm at the race and EVERYTHING........starstruck?  You betcha!!!

We're gonna have tons of fun here today.....and if any of you joining us are Cat Scouts we wanted to make sure that even though there are site problems there, we're up and running and having a blast HERE on the TCC....thanks to Gracie and Raz for inviting me to join in the hosting - I'm thrilled beyond description.

So after you get into the race with your tickets, find your seats or wander the infield - you'll see Raz, Gracie and me EVERYWHERE......and we'll make sure you have the time of your life!

Indy 500 Hugs,

Rev'em up!!!  Let's get theses races on the track!!!....vvvvrrrrrooooommmmm!!!

It took me a long time to decide on what race car to conger up.  But my primary consideration, as always...does it compliment my furs...I think I picked just purrfect...what do you guys all think???

I had to test drive it of course.  You know, just to make sure it was as fast as they said at the shop where I found it.

And yes it is!!!  I won, I won!!!

So who's gonna take me on first??? Come on...let's get our zzzzzzzooooommmmm zzzzzoooommmm going!

HAPPY RACE DAY ALL!!!

Straw Hat Day !

XOXO

Straw Hat Day Fun!

When I heard it was going to be Straw Hat Day in the blogosphere well I just HAD to be all over that because you know straw hats are BACK.   They were big back in "the day" and I think they're a mighty nice thing to have on your head to keep the sun out of your eyes and a spring in your step on a warm spring day!   I have visions of Fred Astaire and Maurice Chevalier crooning a tune with their straw hats on......MY visions are of cruising down a river on a hot summer day rowing the boat with my straw hat on and my girlcatfriend in her fluffy white dress and parasol watching me as we look for the perfect spot to stop for a picnic on shore.  Yep - straw hats are WAY cool !!

I think I look better than Maurice in his straw hat........I've got the golden eyes and ginger furs thing going on - what girl can resist that???   HAPPY STRAW HAT DAY and thanks to the TCC for letting us celebrate here!

Hugs, Sammy

Straw Hat Stylin'

Today is Straw Hat Day across the Blogosphere. Over the past year, I’ve modeled many straw hats: baseball hats, sombreros, Easter bonnets—who could forget those atrocious Easter bonnets!—but TW tells me I can’t use them. She wants me to model yet another straw hat. Sigh! The things I’ll do for my Fans cos you know it’s all about the Fans. I hope you guys appreciate it.

Ta-daaaaaaa! My new bling-encrusted red straw hat. It’s in focus even if I’m NOT!  Sigh.

To find out who the lucky Organikat winner was, go to www.stunningkeisha.com.

Happy Straw Hat Day!

We love this day!  Most all of our hats are vintage ones from around the 1920s and 1949s, with some from the 1960!

Straw Hat Cat-Style

Straw Hat

I wear it when it’s hot,

I wear it even if it’s not.

‘Tis my favorite hat

I always wear it when I go out.

When I am in the sea,

Or even when I am not

I will always be seen

With my favorite hat.

When I wear my favorite red vest

Together with my favorite blue shorts

My favorite hat will look its best

Though it’s still good with any clothes.

I am my hat,

My hat is me.

If I am to be without my hat,

Then who would I be?

Until the rightful day

That my promise be fulfilled

I shall keep it safe

On the top of my head.

Do you know that today is Straw Hat Day? I didn't, until I got an email from my furiend Ann Adamus from the blog, Zoolatry, inviting everyone to pawticipate!

Here is info about Straw Hat Day directly from Ann:

"As "bestest" we can figure out, Straw Hat Day has been celebrated for about a gazillion-bazillion years mebbee (well, at least since like the 1920s) ...
when the men put away their wooly winter hats and donned their summer straw chapeau in honor of the warm weather!
(and who isn't ready to welcome warm weather this year?)

And no reason at all that the ladies can't do the same!

Around the pet blogosphere, Straw Hat Day has been celebrated since furever."

Derby, Ducky and Mum

Happy Mum's Day to all!

Derby does not like being held or sitting on mum's lap. Therefore rare pictures exist of them together. Here is one from ages ago and you can see he was squirming to get out of mum's arms.

Me, Ducky on the other paw loves to sit on mum and therefore there are lots of pictures with me and mum. Derby doesn't know what he is missing!
