Yay For Moms!

Happy Mother's Day!

 

That wish goes for Moms everywhere AND Moms of all kinds too - not all "Moms" have their own kids but they are "Mom" to friends, other family, and certainly lots of other kids of the fur-baby type AND human type!    Moms are great - they are a shoulder to cry on, a nice warm hug when you need it most, good and caring advice, and most of all giving LOVE and support.  This is for all the Moms out there!

 

 

This will be the first Mother's Day that my Mom will be without my Angel brother Sammy.    Sammy and my Dad would always give my Mom a card and a big bouquet of flowers for Mom's Day.   Sammy seemed to KNOW it was a special day because he would make sure and give Mom extra lap time and snuggles.    I intend to carry on that tradition!

Both my Mom and Dad no longer have their Moms here - They are both across the heavens from the Rainbow Bridge now.    But that doesn't mean they are forgotten - every Mother's Day we say a prayer for them - hoping they are happy and know they are loved forever and ever AND to thank them for being MOMS.    It's a very big job and we really appreciate that!

As you can see from this photo, it's one of Teri's special memories...of a cat nicknamed Nacho and of our Cat Daddy...both of them have gone to the bridge but are forever in our hearts!

Nacho was nicknamed by his family after Not Your Cat turned into Nacho Cat, HaHaMeow! He had to have a 'formal' cat show name, so Teri named him TexMexRex...that is even funnier, don't you think?

So in honor of Cinco de Mayo, we wanted to share some photos of the handsome Nacho Cat!

Like my ginger friend Teddy, this also is also my first time celebrating Cinco de Meow. And like Teddy's mom and dad, mine do not know where I was last year.

Though I don't know where I came from or where I have been, I now have a loving home and am a member of the Tabby Cat Club and Cat Scouts.

I hope you'll join me (and Teddy) for some meowgaritas. I have some special "goldfish" ones.

Can you tell I'm excited?  It's my very first Cinco de Mayo.   True, I was here last May 5th but I wasn't living with my Mom and Dad yet - in fact nobody knows WHERE I was then - but here I am now and I'm ready to PAR-TAY with all of my TCC friends!

I asked some friends to come by and play some music for us...............

AND, I have some special hot chocolate AND cookies for a snack for all of you!   

I hope you all have a lot of fun celebrating the day...................I certainly am - I'm so happy to be a member of the Tabby Cat Club - we ROCK!

Today we're celebrating all things Mexican - food, drinks, fun....

Have a seat and enjoy some of this wonderful food we have prepared for you all....

Grab a sombrero if you didn't bring one and stay in the shade!



HOT - HOT - HOT !

We have tacos of all kinds....

Platters with enchiladas, rice, and refried beans.....

Quesadillas!

Hot tamales!

Shrimp Diablo (ai yi yi....HOT)

And for dessert......homemade flan.......

You'll need something COOL to drink with your HOT meal, so why not try a meowgarita, a Mexican soft drink or something else delightfully cool and delish???

If you're feeling lively (and want a little exercise after eating all this yummy food), why not get up and do a little Mexican Hat Dance???????

Our official Tabby Cat Club band will play some appropriate tunes for us....

OR, if you want to take out your frustrations of the day, WHACK a piñata????

Make sure before you leave the party to take a little souvenir of our Cinco de Mayo party - we have a little mini-piñata for each of you as a remembrance of our Tabby Cat Club Cinco de Mayo day!
