Ducky the Tabby

The day isn't over, at least not quite yet. I am a subtle tabby in coloration, so not as stark as some, but, I am a tabby and proud of it.

Cooper and I asked our big brother Mau if he would make a cake for us in his Cat Scouts Bake Shop, and he did. We sure hope you all enjoy. And yes, Teddy, it does have some nip in it.

National Tabby Cat Day

MeOW Hey everypawdy, it's me, Deztinee. Kittens, me's been gone fur a while, but hopefully, mommy can help me more this year. Today's big celebration is in honor of all those special kitties with an M on their furhead and stripes on their bodies...the Tabby Cat!!! 'Nuffin and nokitty ever repurrsented as well as sis Lexi, but me's gonna try.

Ya' know, sissy never once made fun of me's broken M or pointed eyes and ears. And, neither did any other gawjus tabby here at the club. That's one of the pawsum things 'bout tabbies, they're laid back, loyal and luvvin'. Tabbies really know how to enjoy life and luv with all their bein'. Mommy says that describes me to a tee...ummm to an M. MOL

Anyways, me just wanted to paw in and meow a Happy National Tabby Cat Day to all. Angel Lexi wanted me to share a foto of her too and to remind you all to give your kitties, stripes or no, a big hug every day. We wish you all a purrfectly pawsum week.

Happy Tabby Cat Day!!!!

I so love being a tabby cat.

I always feel like a special princess . . .

. . . I get spoiled 24 7.

Life is great especially if you are a Tabby Cat.

Tabby Cat Day Is Here!

Of course we are worth celebrating - all cats are but of course WE know that Tabbies ROCK and RULE right?

So what IS a Tabby after all?   We know what we are but how/why/what?

Tabby cats are often mistakenly thought of as being a particular breed of cat, but it is the coat pattern that is known as “tabby.”

The gene for the tabby pattern can be found in all domestic cats. Look at a “solid” black cat in the sun some day and see if you can find the hidden tabby markings. And have you ever seen a solid red or orange or cream cat without the familiar tabby markings? You won’t, because the gene that makes a cat red or cream also makes the tabby markings visible. The tabby pattern is so popular that it can be found in many pedigreed cats today, and is accepted in a number of breeds by the most popular registries.
There are many variations of the tabby pattern and tabby cats can be found with stripes, spots, ticks and swirls, and in various colors – brown tabbies, silver tabbies, ginger or orange tabbies, gray or blue tabbies and red tabbies Although there are many variations of each, the tabby pattern falls into four basic classes. A fifth includes tabby as part of another basic color pattern, e.g. the “patched” tabby, which may be a calico or tortoiseshell cat with tabby patches (the latter is called a “torbie”).  Those patterns are:  classic, mackerel, spotted, ticked, and patched.   Check out this chart I found - how cool is this?   We are ALL just gorgeous aren't we?????
Well, enough about what we look like - how about how we act?   Some say Tabbies are the closest thing to a dog there is in the kitty world.   Now is that a compliment?   I think so.   We are super trainable, we ADORE our "masters", we are mostly very social and you have to admit, woofies are pretty darn good at all that stuff.
All I know for sure is I like being a Tabby............and I know that you do too - why join the Tabby Cat Club unless we are proud to be a Tabby and want to have fun with OTHER Tabbies right?

Yeah we DO know how to have fun!

So, HAPPY TABBY CAT DAY everyone.........spoil yourself today - you deserve it!

Hugs, Teddy

BEFORE YOU GO...........Don't forget to take a copy of the PAWTICIPATION badge from the TCC for attending today's celebration!!

Happy Tabby Cat Day from proud Tabby Cat Club members Noelle and Raz!

Friday, April 27, 2018

Hi Everyone!

Hi Tabby Cat Club members and friends.   My name is Noelle and I am Raz's little sisfur!  I am proud to have joined the Tabby Cat Club and am member #138!

I am 7 months old and full of energy.   I look up to my big brofur Raz and hang out with him all the time.

The other kitty here, Allie, is slowly warming up to me.  I think I am sometimes too active for her!

Mom saw my photo at the Friends of Animals Sanctuary thrift shop and couldn't stop thinking about me.  Gracie's Mom helped talk her into adopting me and I came to live with the Florida Furkids on December 23!   Mom says I was Daddy's Christmas present to her since he knew she would be sad at Christmas.

Mom says sometimes Raz and I look like The Amazing Two Headed Cat!

What do you think?

I look forward to pawticipating in lots of fun events here at the Tabby Cat Club!!

National Tabby Cat Day Party

See you on the 30th.
Come early and stay late.

Interviewing Our TCC Founder!

Lucky Me!!
Hi Tabby Cat Clubbers!     On my blog Friday, April 20th, I will be interviewing our very own Gracie, founder of the Tabby Cat Club.
Why?   Well because I thought it might be fun to tell all my blog followers about the Club - I know there are a lot of Tabbies who just might be interested in joining up so who better to tell them about the Club than Gracie herself?

My blog posts don't go "live" each day until 3AM so after 3AM Friday, April 20th, you can visit my blog if you like and see the questions I ask Gracie and her answers.   The link I'm giving you to that blog post will NOT be available until then!!!

Here's the post address for you to visit Friday:

Stop by if you like and see what Gracie has to say about our Club!
