As I've written before, Grace usually has legs, feet, and 'tocks well tucked in ... so ladylike! But the other morning, she was a bit more relaxed! She was curled up on one of the kitchen chairs, mostly hidden under the tablecloth, right near where I was typing at the computer! She also likes to be near the windows ... so she can keep check on our back yard, I guess!

Grace is a very private little lady-cat. (Not to mention she is ever-watchful for her big son's approach!) She never leaves herself vulnerable, just tucks in those 'tocks and is such a lady!  See??!!

Last year, I let y'all know that Grace just isn't "into" boxes (double meaning there!), but her boys sure are. They love to play with and in boxes of all sizes, any time of year! 

Here's a video taken in 2006 when they were about 4 months old and Grace was still a very watchful mommacat!

Grace has learned about our family's veterans plus two who are in the military right now. It's quite a list!

Grace and I are very thankful for ALL our veterans, as well as those currently serving in our country's military. We love 'em all!!

National Cat Day - How Grace Moves

Grace moves very gracefully and silently most of the time. She reminds me of Robert Frost's poem!

Wordless Wednesday

I have no words for what Grace demonstrated in these two photos! Usually, she doesn't allow her sons (both full-grown and bigger than she is) to get anywhere near her when she wants to take a nice long snooze, but on two successive evenings, I got these two photos! Amazing Grace!!

Here she's allowing Audace (the bigger of her sons) to snooze near her. I almost fell over when I saw this!

And here she's allowing Ruse to be close by. 

She's often more tolerant of him than of Audace, but still ... !!

Boxes! Not Grace, but her boys!!

Grace refuses to get into boxes or bags or anything confining. I think she doesn't like to be where she cannot see her sons! 

But her sons love boxes!! Here are a couple of examples:

 Here's Audace, who had been dragging all that packing paper out of that box. It all makes such wonderful sounds!

And here's Ruse, thinking he was hiding, I'm sure!
