OK, mainly I am just celebrating that Butters is no longer hanging around. Since he is a Cream Tabby I didn't think you would mind me posting his picture here. Butters really needs a home. He wondered up to our house weeks ago. He was really thin, so Mommy feed him and he just wouldn't go away no matter how much I threatened him and when I chased him off he came back once I was inside for the night. He didn't even mind Scylla's screaming or Fenris' growling at him. Anyway before someone got hurt Mommy had to do something, she tried her best to find his people cause he is so sweet and gentle she is pretty sure he had a family at one time. But no one around here is missing him. So she took him to the "cat guy" who has 50+ cats (some feral some tame). The cat guy agreed to keep him if Mommy had him neutered. Well she took him to our vet to get him neutered but it was going to be $300 and we couldn't afford that for a cat that isn't ours. So Mommy called the Spay & Neuter Clinic the Humane Society runs in Gulfport. They would do it for $60 BUT couldn't give him an appointment until July 24th. Well since he is in a holding pen until he can be neutered and it isn't finished so it doesn't have any amenities yet that wouldn't do so .............................................Mommy finally remembered the Jackson County Spay & Neuter and they agreed to help Mommy. Mommy has to meet the lady to give her Butters sometime today and then she will pick him up July 5th after he is neutered and take him back to the "cat man" so we don't have any plans to celebrate the day other then to take things easy. Butters really needs a home of his own though so if anyone is interested please contact us. We lives on the MS Gulf Coast, North of Ocean Springs. He loves being petted and we thinks he was probably an indoor kitty, so we don't think he will be happy living outside at the "cat man's house".
Anyway I am just going to enjoy the peace around here since Butters is GONE. Hope you have a good 4th of July. ~Socks
