Happy St Pat's Day? Not With Costumes from the Dollar Store!
I usually dress in Haute Couture, and am not a Hot Mess! But in the spirit of those who drink green beer and sing silly ditties about leprechauns, I agreed to share these silly photos with the rest of The Tabby Cat Club, as you may also be coerced into wearing something embarrassing today, too!
So here I am, wearing a bow tie as a hat! HaHaMeow! And that curly thing next to me, with the Shamrock on it? It's a WIG!!
Yes, I wear wigs, but this one could be used as a bathroom scrubber--then I'd never have to wear it again! Although...I think that little curl right in the middle of my forehead is kinda cute! But you can tell that even the 'jewelry' that adorned me wasn't enough to make me smile!
And just in case you kitties didn't know... Move over, Saint Patrick! It's St Gertrude's Day, too! She is the patron saint of cats and gardens...something we all love!

Remember today to wear something GREEN or else you might get pinched!
That's right - it was something my Mom was told when she was a little girl so she's ALWAYS made sure to wear something green on St. Pat's Day.
Why is that a tradition? Here's what we found out courtesy of Mr. Google!
"Forgot to wear green on St. Patty’s Day? Don’t be surprised if you get pinched. No surprise, it’s an entirely American tradition that probably started in the early 1700s. St. Patrick’s revelers thought wearing green made one invisible to leprechauns, fairy creatures who would pinch anyone they could see (anyone not wearing green). People began pinching those who didn’t wear green as a reminder that leprechauns would sneak up and pinch green-abstainers."
I don't want to get pinched so I'm not taking any chances!

Happy Dr. Seuss Day!

Today is not only Dr. Seuss' birthday but also Read Across America Day, so I sure hope everyone will take a few minutes out of their day to read something fun to their cat(s).

The Lorax
Today is a day to celebrate reading.
It’s not something I do, but I hear it is pleasing.
It is known as Read Across American Day
And celebrates author, Dr. Seuss’, birthday.
I never met him but heard he wrote good books.
I think one was maybe something for cooks.
That book was called, Green Eggs and Ham,
And features a character named, Sam-I-Am.
He even wrote about a cat wearing a hat.
Can you imagine something as silly as that?
Today I am a dressed as a guy called a Lorax.
He seems to be a well-known environmentalist.
“I am the Lorax. I speak for the trees.”
Is a famous quote by this guy and now me.
For this reading day, the Lorax I’ll be
Instead of ginger tabby, Cooper Murphy.
If you can, go read a book and hug a tree.
You’ll feel great mentally and physically!
