What makes the Cherry City special?

uh... cherries?

You guessed it!  We live just outside of Traverse City, Michigan, known as the "Cherry Capital of the World" !   Dang, there's cherry stuff everywhere year round as cherries are nom-a-licious (for peoples) and every year at the beginning of July-ish is the "National Cherry Festival".

We won't bore you, although your people might want to read this article about the history of cherries.  But here's some pictures of some of the more fun stuff!

Tents full of Cherry Noms!

Concerts on the bay
Flying and swimming dogs

Lots of rides and carny food

A Pow-Wow

And people nom-ing on cherry pie!

About a half million peoples come here for the festival every year, Mom and Dad go to the festival with all the UNCats people and work at the festival to earn green papers to help take care of the kitties.  This year mom and dad get to serve people some noms, and get to be special parking police!  They usually hang out for a while and watch a concert or fireworks after they work.  We think it doesn't sound like they work that hard....

Anyway, that's what makes up here so special and why we are the Cherry City Kitties!

Traverse City Michigan... the former hometown of Teeny Tiny Tabby Town. I miss it terribly. You know how most retirees go south if they've got the itch to move? I'll be coming back north.

That festival sounds awesome! The concerts on the bay are very cool, and the fact that your Mom and Dad volunteer there to raise green papers for the UNCats is super special. :)

Fanks again for coming over this weekend. It sure was fun hanging out with you, my brofurs!

Hugs,

Moosey

Wow! Hadn't heard of Cherry city before reading your blog, how interesting to read about how you celebrate cherries. I would love it there, I like cherries.

Also enjoyed your aerobatics video, we have the "Red Arrows" in our country which are similar and you might have heard of them.
