Indy Race Day 2015

IT'S RACE DAY TODAY IN INDY!

~GETTING READY~



Sammy had to do a little "work" to earn his ticket to the races....at least we know the stands will be in good shape!

~  THE ARRIVAL~

Sammy has chartered a bus and is dropping off the TCC members coming to the race today at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway gate.  



Sammy passes out the tickets after he drops his passengers off at the gate to the Speedway.

~THE BLIMP~

 The famous blimp is being piloted today by Raz and his lovely co-pilot, Dinnermintz! Raz is happy to have a well-trained co-pilot at the helm because he, Gracie, Sammy and a special surprise guest will be hang-gliding out of the plane into the infield !!

Dinnermintz is ready to take over the "stick" while Raz does his hang-glide thing!

Blimp Co-Pilot~Dinnermintz moves into the pilot seat AND proudly shows everyone her Certificate of Achievement for completing her training..........

THEN...............the crowd stares up at the Blimp and sees a totally amazing sight!  

Could it be our hosts for today AND someone most of us  know as an expert Hang-Glider in his own right?   Famous woofie pal, Easy Weimaraner???   YES!!!!  YES IT IS!!!!

What a spectacular show!

The crowd is excited - who wouldn't be?  This is the INDY 500!!

Looks like a big crowd here for the race as usual.......I believe there are a few familiar faces??

 If you're hungry, Pete and Raz's fish truck is in the infield waiting to serve up delicious noms!

Help yourself to some snacks before the race starts.....

Look....Gracie and Sammy are here for a bite to eat before the race...

~PRERACE~

Gracie interviews the Straight No Chaser Singers at their morning singing practice. They will be performing in the prerace festivities singing "Back Home Again In Indiana."



~GASOLINE ALLEY~

Sammy sure knows how to get into the spirit of the race....

.... The Penske Team lets Sammy take a ride in their race car while Gracie & Raz look on.

~THE FLYOVER~

Raz has recovered from the hang-gliding leap and is now back in the sky with Sammy and Gracie doing the famous FLYOVER before the race!   The crowd roars!  (ROAR........)

~THE RACE~

Sammy, Gracie, & Raz watching the race.  As always, they are prepared for everything.....they don't want to become dehydrated in the heat here in Indy today.

The 2015 Indianapolis 500 race is over. The food trucks have left the infield, the race cars are over at gasoline alley in their garages, the race drivers are far from the track, and the last of the fans have left for home. This day will be talked about for a while and plans already are being made for the 2016 500 race.

Wow.....what a day......your hosts, Gracie, Raz and Sammy want to thank you for joining in the fun.....and a special THANK YOU to Dinnermintz and Easy Weimaraner for making today even MORE fun!!!

Race Day 2015

I am having fun here at the track.  I brought water so I won't get dehydrated.  I love milk so the winner had better watch out for me stealing a sip or two.

Race Day- KaTwo

Hi everyone, KaTwo here- Don't worry, I didn't get run over. I have some mechanical experience so I thought I would check under this car:

Race Day at the TCC

Well evfurry today is the day..i am so proud to say i passed my co-piloting test with Raz and away i can go!

Raz was the perfect instructor and taught me all i need to know about flying the Blimp!

 It is an old tradition and started as advertising for the Goodyear tyres..so i felt very honoured to be asked..

Now..in some countries tyres are spelled tires..in Australia we spell it tyres..clear as mud right MOL..

Anywho i was so pleased and a bit scared to take over from Raz..but his training kicked in and i had a blast!
And Madi he was a perfect gentleman cat :) ..
So while i was high in the sky..Pickles was left to represent us in the race!

I don't think her helmet was a regulation one but she was pretty hot and thirsty..i bet she got a penalty..MOL..

She was also called on to help young Marco Andretti with a problem with his car...she sure has many talents..MOL..

I am just glad she kept her tail away from the engine..she has such a long one it could have been a problem!

So from high in the sky i say have a blast..we can't wait to catch up with evfurry and see what their day was like!
