Remembering Pluto and Indy ~

We remember Pluto and Indy in our house quite frequently. Their photos are all over the place, and sometimes I think Grace's boys were listening a little too closely whenever my grandbeans and I discussed Pluto and how he loved to play with (read: torment!) Indy!!

Pluto: August 1991 - November 2003

Pluto was always a BIG boy, weighing in around 17# on a regular basis. Then he got sick in Feb or Mar 2003, and by June (below) he had lost about half his weight. The vets could never figure out what was happening to him, and we went to many! So we loved him, and he kept on playing and being his charming self, even though he couldn't have been feeling good sometimes. He left us in November that year. Broke my heart.

Indy: April 1991 - March 2006

Indy loved to play, too ... but not with Pluto! She liked her beans (me and my bro and my grandbeans) to flick the feathers around and to turn on the little mechanical mouse. She was also a superb hunter; if she had tolerated it, we would have put a pith helmet on her! For the 10 years in our last house in California, she cleaned up that neighborhood of all the unwanted critters, such as the mice that loved to make their homes in the yards of vacant houses! She was thorough!

Grace is very much like Indy in her personality, except of course that Grace doesn't hunt. She is not allowed to go outside!!

Abbi: Remembering Family and Friends

We'd like to thank our friend, Gracie, for hosting this very sweet event.

We also remember with much love all our kitty friends from Tabby Cat Club and several clinic cats at Carousel Cat Clinic who crossed Rainbow Bridge.
