NOMS Day by Simba

I am going to mostly copy my post from my own blog to here for NOMS Day.

Today is NOMS Day, a day to celebrate our other species friends and encourage tolerance and friendship.    Thanks to The Cat Realm for the great badge!        Here at our house, I am the only inside pet, but outside we have bird feeders that attract a lot of birds, even a hummingbird feeder that has frequent visits from one female hummingbird.   She is SO fast, I have no picture.   Then we have chipmunks running around our stone wall, and even a woodchuck who visits quite a lot.  Yup, no pictures.

However, the most exciting visitors this summer have been the deer - it is hard to call them VISHUS deer, because the little ones are so cute.      The main visitors we see are two different mamas, one with a single fawn and another with twins.   Dad thinks the younger Mom of the singleton is the daughter of the other one.     Here are some pictures:

Inside the house, I have to be satisfied with some very quiet NOMS friends, like Mr/Miss seal here:

The Tabbies of 15andmewoing her- Stinky, Prancie and KaTwo. We all love our humans and we love out turtle--Sammy isn't a tabby, but here is a photo of him with the turtle.

Happy NOMS Day

I live on five acres out in the country. Oh the friends that come and visit me, though some of them make me run from window to window trying to figure out how to invite them in.

Here are a few of my NOMS friends . . .

Mr. Turtle lives in the pond with his family but he does like to visit .

Many deer live by and stop in from time to time.

When the geese come in they give me plenty of warning as they honk when they land.
They splash down in the pond.

I outlined Mr. Bunny so you could see him.
He lives nearby and I see him just about every day.
Isn't he cute?

Mr. Heron is a very sensitive birdie. He does not like anyone around at all. If he sees anyone in the house move he will immediately fly away. He likes to fish in our pond.

I marked Mr. Robin so you could see him.
The birdies really drive me crazy.
I just seem to want to get closer to them.
Mom knows that is not a good idea.

Plenty of bugs and spiders out here.
Today an insect stopped by.

I saved the best for last, Mr. Ground Hog.
He is the one who make me go the most craziest.
He will even come up on the deck by my condo.
I think that is rude and he eats our grass!
I hope I get used to him but so far that has not happened.

As you can see there is plenty going on at my house. Never a dull moment.

Thanks Raz for hosting this fun event and Sammy for making our participation badge.

N.O.M.S. Day!

What a fun day to celebrate our differences and our friendships in spite of our differences!   The Cat Realm started this wonderful blog occasion back in 2007.    "Not Of My Species" Day celebrates the fact that we can all be friends no matter who or what we are!

Of course we know cats are superior (tee hee), but there are so many other species out in the big wide world!

Friendship can cross species and there's proof of that in photos......

See?  We can all be friends........................so remember, we may be different but we're all the same in that we can love one another and all get along in this world...........even humans can do that (if they would just try!).

Happy "Not Of My Species Day" !!!!    Here's a pawticipation badge for all of you Tabby Cat Clubbers who are here today.....................

Hugs, Sammy (of the Cat Species!)

Socks & Scylla NOMS

We hosted a NOMS party many years ago when we first started blogging and before we had doggies.

This picture taken at the party brings back so very many fond memories.  Now our family has expanded to include doggies, we has two of them Fenris & Tuiren.

We have also made lots of new friends some are bunnies and around our size, some are horses, who are larger than our doggies. We treasure all our friends no matter what species or size they are.

In case you haven't meet them yet we would like to introduce you to some of our NOMS friends.

Speedy the Cheeky House Bunny and The Poupounette Gang they are a family of cats, dogs and HORSES.

Many years ago Artemisia went to visit them and Vidock graciously allowed her to ride him.
