Bed Wars With Sassy - Mine, Mine!!
Here I am enjoying MY bed. Sometimes Mommie gets crazy and thinks she can put her feet out at night, but a little bitey from me corrects that problem.
Bed Wars with Spyro, Rocio and Oja
Spyro: We use all kinds of tactics in our bed wars. Above Rocio demonstrates how to take up as much room as possible.
Rocio: Spyro is good at taking up a lot of room, too, when he isn't working undercover.
Oja: I try to grab the side of the bed, so Mom has to crawl around me to get in. I like her in the middle to buffer me from stinky boycats.
Spyro: We get Mom sandwiched in pretty good. If she has to get up in the night to use the human litter box we all laugh ourselves silly watching her try to get out without disturbing us. In the morning I get her up by trying to claw the covers off her.

How to Win at Bed Wars: A Strategic Guide
![]() |
| Start with diplomacy. Calmly explain that all the pillows are belong to you. And the bed itself. And the whole apartment. This will likely not go over well. When that fails. . . |
![]() |
| Use camouflage. |
![]() |
| Execute the "bed-to-cat-bed-to-pillow" defense. |
![]() |
| The spread-eagle . Originally used by Captain Stonewhiskers Jackson in the Civil War. |
![]() |
| Try a pillow blockade. |
![]() |
| A mighty roar might scare off human invaders. |
![]() |
| Stand your ground. Explain that the red blanket is not negotiable territory. |
![]() |
| Make allies. |
![]() |
| When all else fails, give peace a chance. |
Bed Wars With Abbi And Friends
Here's a typical scene on our bed. Ateret loves to nap on the pillow next to Mama's. Sometimes, Livia naps there, too. I don't care about that - I care about curling up against Mama's pillow when she isn't in bed, and I care about cuddling her against and between her legs. Unfortunately, Ateret and Livia also like those things. We manage, however, to take turns in our Kitty Kuddly bed. I love that thing!
We also eat on our bed because Ateret can't deal with being alone, and Mama decided she's got to watch us to make sure we only eat what's ours. I say, good luck with that one. We've got our own spots where we eat: Ateret eats on her pillow. Livia's bowl is in the middle of the bed, and mine is to the right of Livia, with both bowls being about half-way to the end of the bed to the right of Mama's pillow.
We always win because it's three against one!
Pee Es: We're happy Gracie's mommy is feeling better!
Pee Pee Es: Thank you, Oui Oui, for this fun event!
Bed Wars at the Tomcat Home
Hey Tabbies!
We have wild times here at the Tomcat home. We wrestle and chase all the time, but, we keep the bed for other important purrsuits too.
We like the bed as a Refuge. When things go all square we can zip in and find safe harbor. We really need it when that hideous, nasty, scary, mean, ugliest of all things the VACUUM Monster comes out! Horrors. Just the other day Buddy and I almost got caught. It was a close call.
Buddy likes to make double, triple, quadruple, quintuple, sure. I check to see the coast is clear and let him know.
Dad does not allow arguments in the bed room. Since we all sleep with him he limits what we do on the bed. We really like when he reads to us and get to pick out the next story.
So as you see. We try fur Dad, but, Rumpy will be Rumpy
.
That week we also read: The Cat Who Walked a Thousand Miles by Kij Johnson
Available at Amazon or Barnes & Noble.
Tell your hoomans you would love it if they would read it to you. While they read you can give them Zen-Cat-Purrs. Help them move towards Nirvana.

Bed Wars
Bed Wars ~ Not In This House
There isn't a problem with the folks and me sharing the bed and that guarantees no bed wars here . . . you see when I adopted them I could tell right away that they would be easy to train, and they were. I let them have a small portion bed and they pretty much work around me. Why the mom won't even move me if I am in her spot, good girl mom remind me to give you a treat later. The folks let me sleep on their backs, legs and between them, anywhere I want. I think this works out purrrfectly!
Bed Wars: Dexter 1 ... Mom 0

MOM!!!!!!
Grace vs her boys -- she won!
This was taken in December. When it's cold, Grace and her two boys like to sleep on my bed, and (unfortunately for me) they LOVE the foot of the bed, for some reason.
Grace won this time.
See ... she's all curled up and sound asleep where my feet should have been!
Her two boys got pushed to the side, poor babies!!
Bed Wars - Moosey and Brother Sammy WIN!
Hi everybuddy! It's me, Moosey!
Here are me and Sammy getting all comfortable on the bed. Notice my big brother Sammy's amazing occupation skills -- just look at how he stretches out to take up as much room as possible! And look at me, giving the mom and the dad the back of disrespect. Tee hee!
Well ... maybe we'll let you share the bed, Mommy and Daddy. Maybe. :)
Sammy and Moosey: 1, Mommy and Daddy: ZERO.
Thanks for holding this fun event, Oui Oui! We loves you!
Hugs,
Moosey
Bed Wars ~ Socks Declares Himself the Winner!
I stole Fenris', Tuiren's Mr. Who's bed.
It is very comfy.
So you see I am a champion at Bed Wars, I took the bed away from not one, not two but THREE DOGGIES. ~Socks from Alasandra, The Cats & Dogs

The Bed Wars, Round I
Oui Oui and The Girl as kittens.
As a young kitty, I loved scratching away while I was on my back. Of course, the bed was the object of my scratching! The mom would come home from work to find huge amounts of stuffing stretched across the floor. Soon we kitties could climb into the netting and sleep there. It was like a large kitty hammock. So snuggly and comfy! Those were really the days!
Walking the bed as a kitten.
Eventually I dug holes all the way through to the top of the mattress. In no time there were huge springs sticking out of the top. While this didn't bother us kitties much, well in fact, not at all, the mom had to resort to sleeping across the lower part of the bed while her legs pointed up to the headboard.
A recent photo on the headboard.
One day, some men took the old beds (I had been working on The Girl's bed too) and brought new ones. I set to work right away!
But, I couldn't believe what the mom did! She came home with large sheets of wood, and she put them under the box springs and mattresses! In vain did I roll on my back and scratch at the wood. I tried! I tried really hard! Even in the middle of the night, waking the mom with the sound of my claws on wood.
This is how I walk across the bed.
Sadly, my sharp nails were no match for the wood and finally I gave up.
These days, I have my beloved cardboard, but no beds to scratch.
Ok, I give the first round of The Bed Wars to the mom. That's ok. We kitties own the night, and there are daily breakfasts to wake up for. You know we aren't going to give in THAT easily!
Purrs,

Happy Easter & Happy Spring
What's outside? With spring slowly making it's presence known there are many changes in the happenings around the house. First of all we are on daylight savings time and that means there are hours of wake up sunlight time. Yeah! Second there are birdies returning from their long vacation south this winter . . .
. . . do you see them? Not one but two. Do you believe the size of those two birdies? Mom said they are geese. Here let me show you a close up . . .
. . . plenty of action outside now. These geese will make a nest and lay eggs. Wonder how many little geesies they will have?
Wishing everyone a very Happy Easter and Happy Spring. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Easter EggSederGanza with Spyro and Rocio
Spyro: Mom got out our Easter toys and Rocio and I got all excited and wanted to play with them. Mom sprinkles the bunny with nip sometimes, otherwise we ignore it. Its the fevver-butt birdie that we like the best. We used to have two of those blue eggs. They come apart and Mom puts treats in them. One of us found out how to open the other egg, ate the treats and hid half of the egg. Mom still hasn't found it. Happy Easter EggSederGanza!
