Hi everybody, Waffles here.

You know how when you really want to chase the feather but there's nobody on the other end of the wand toy? 

Or you really want to play fetch but everyone is on their computer and too busy to see you waiting patiently, staring at them?

WAFFLES' NAUGHTY GUIDE:

1. Find One of These

They're easy to find. 

Just look next to the human litter box chair.

2.  Unroll

Be careful. The paper is very fragile. 

3.  Ooops!

That's okay. There's LOTS of paper on the roll. 

4.  Extra Credit for Chasing

If you let go, the paper will try to roll away.  

Bonus points if you can catch it.

5.  Warning: Paper Chase

In extreme situations, the paper will chase you. 

Do NOT let it catch you. Ever.

WAFFLES:  Hey Boss! Can you feel your paws?

KATIE:  Yes, Waffles. I can feel my paws.

WAFFLES:  Because it's really cold outside you know.

KATIE:  Waffles, this is just a made up photo. Fake parkas, fake ice, fake cold.

WAFFLES:  Ok, so can I feel your paws?

KATIE:  NO.

WAFFLES:  Sheesh Boss... I guess it's cold INSIDE too.

KATIE:  Waffles, you are walking on thin ice.

WAFFLES:  I KNEW it!  I KNEW it!  I just KNEW there was ice!

It's Waffles!!!

Hi everybuddy, Waffles here!

I heard we were all showing off our baby pictures here at the Tabby Club today, so I had Glogirly pick out some of my favorites. These were all taken on my very first day in my new forever townhouse. I was locked up in the kitten room on account of the Boss (Katie) didn't want to catch any kitten cooties. 

This is my *seriouslies* look. Glogirly said I was going to really need this look once I met the Boss.

And this is one of those looks that gets me stuff. Treats, toys, pretty much anything I want.

Did you know that I just might get my picture on the new mike's HARDER cans??? Now that I'm all grown up I'm allowed to enter contests and stuff. I'm in the top 6 with both of my cans and voting ends tomorrow! Thank you SO much to everybuddy who's already voted for me! Small Gifts Make a Big Difference

It was a  Sunday afternoon in November, just a year and a half ago, when Glogirly drove out to the Animal Humane Society of Buffalo, Minnesota to meet the orange kitten she'd found on Petfinder.com just hours before.

The shelter volunteers introduced to her to "Jackson" and "Herbie." They brought her to a quiet room with the tiny orange boys and handed her a wand toy.

She sat on the floor, playing with them for the longest time. They jumped and flipped and twirled...everything new and exciting, they each had wonder in their eyes. 

And yes, the thought of bringing them BOTH home was a serious consideration. There was another family visiting though ... a mom, dad, a little boy and girl, that really wanted to adopt one of the kittens.

After an hour or so, "Jackson" decided he'd had enough feather chasing. He hopped onto Glogirly's lap, curled into a little ball and stretched his neck up high, gazing right into her eyes. He purred with the sweetest of smiles. That was it. Glogirly had found Waffles and Waffles had found a family.

That play session at the shelter with the wand toy...it was a bonding experience that Glogirly will never forget. 

Even the smallest of gifts can make a big difference in the lives of shelter pets. Every donation counts. A small $1 toy can bring a homeless cat one step closer to a human connection. And one step closer to a forever home.
