Nissy's status

Hey all!  It's me, Nissy.  Just thought I should let you know what's goin' on over at my house...

On Wednesday, I'll be blogging from my hospital bed!

That's right... Last night, I came in with a sore leg. Peep #1 checked me for bites and scratches but found nothing. This morning, she took me to see the doctor.

Turns out, I've torn all the ligaments in my right knee. Nothing holding my leg together! Doctor gave me two choices... amputation or knee surgery. I go in for knee surgery on Wednesday. Gonna get artificial ligaments put in. Then, something called rehab.

Anyway, all is good now. I'm on EXCELLENT pain meds.

Purrs,
Nissy

OMC, that sounds truly awful and scary. Yes, how on earth did that happen?

We're sending mega-healing purrs and crossing our paws for your upcoming surgery and recovery.

Oh poor Nissy that is not good at all but good news that they can fix it.

Glad you are slightly 'stoned' on the pain meds which is good as you are in for some hard work coming.

Sending you lots of loving purrs and scratches to you and your peep.

Oh no, Nissy!!! That sucks, big time!
I know how you feel. I somehow managed to dislocate both my hips, and broke them into several pieces. My choices were surgery or *shudder* euthanasia.

You will do great in the surgery, and we look forward to hearing from you afterwards!

Oh you poor thing! Felix had knee surgery but he wasn't injured quite so badly. We will be purring 24/7 for you...

Thanks so much for all the wonderful wishes.

General consensus is that I fell out of a tree, or something'...

The doctor said she would have recommended amputation but since the x-rays showed a lot of arthritis in my left hip, I need my right leg. Purrsonally, I think I need my right leg, anyway! So... artificial ligaments it is.

Purrs,
Nissy

How did this happen, Nissy? Our dad has a replacement ligament in his elbow. We wonder if yours will be like his?

We are purring and praying for you, sweet one.

Hugs,

Oh My we are revving up the purr machine to get them zooming to your hospital bed. Look for us out the window as they may not let us in without our Dad.

By the way Dad is an RN and he says to do all your PT and you will be OK.
