Gotcha and PAWS Too!

HAPPY GOTCHA DAY TO OUI IUI
and
Thank you to PAWS for all you do!!!
Did somebody say PAWS?  I've got those!!!!

So today we're celebrating Oui Oui's special day - we all remember how lucky we were to find humans to give us a furever home....we call that our "Gotcha Day"......mine was back in 2000 when I was a wee kitten at a shelter.   We all have stories to tell but today is about Oui Oui and her request to have a comment-a-thon here at the TCC to benefit PAWS - a most worthy effort!   "The Catification Project" sounds like a winner to me!

Oui Oui thought it would be nice to have some posts about fun activities we enjoy......I thought I'd show a few pix of me and my favorite "stuff" !!

I love to play with my Dad on the stairs - he's good at "wand teasing" !!!

Nothing makes me happier than having a nap under my tent!!!

Sun puddles on the front porch - ANY time I can enjoy one, I'm there!!!

Life is very good for this old 14-year old ginger boy and I would not have had such a grand life if my parents hadn't visited a shelter all those years ago and adopted me.  I wish that for ALL kitties everywhere - shelters or rescues - we all need a happy and safe home.   I know PAWS does wonderful work and I hope they continue forever.  We all hope for that - right?????

Oui Oui, thank you for giving us a chance to show our favorite things, and to help your pawsome effort to support PAWS......count us in!   (AND HAPPY GOTCHA DAY TOO!!)

Fuzzy Tales Joins the Post-A-Thon!

Hi kitties!

In honour of Oui Oui's Gotcha Day, we're participating in the Post-A-Thon to benefit PAWS' "Catification Project." (What a fantastic and generous idea!)

Everyone knows our best game is vigorous tussling, which we do pretty much every day and often multiple times a day.

We hope the ladycats are impressed with our
mancatly moves, with our "muscular" prowess.

But what we love the most is spending as much time as possible in our little enclosed garden.

It's true we take it for granted, because we've always had it, but we also know not every kitty is able to get outside safely. It makes our human very happy to see us enjoying the space during our short summers!

Derry, obviously exhausted from all the tussling.
 Derry again, just hanging out.
Hey, lady! The grass needs to be cut!
 Nicki baking in the sun.
Nicki, keeping a firm paw on Mr. Stick to make sure he stays put!
And both of us inspecting one of the hostas --
looks like it's getting too much sun, lady.
You can see how much work it is, to manage even a tiny garden, but we say it's worth it. :-)

Thanks for letting us show you how we spend our summers, and we're wishing Oui Oui not only the happiest Gotcha Day ever, but also a very successful post-a-thon!

Purrs and peace,
Nicki and Derry

Post-a-thon for PAWS

First, let me thank Oui Oui for hosting this great event.  What a pawsome idea to celebrate your GOTCHA Day with a post-a-thon!!  PAWS is such a great facility and we know they will appreciate all the green papers this event raises for them

I was a rescue kitty and appreciate the hard work that those who do rescue do for us kitties in need.

Here's my Petfinder photo:

It was a big job growing into those ears!!  I still love playing with fev-vers and teasers too!  My Petfinder Listing is HERE.

Want to see some of the adoptables at PAWS?  Click HERE.

Thanks again Oui Oui - this was a great idea!! I hope you have a super duper Gotcha Day!!

What Makes Moosey's Hometown Special?

Hi Everybuddy!  It's me, Moosey!

First of all, I want to fank my awesome pal Oui Oui for hosting this fun event.  I'm looking forward to learning what's special about my TCC friends' towns!

I think Norwalk, Connecticut (where I live with the mom and the dad) is pretty special for a bunch of reasons.  Norwalk was incorporated on September 22, 1651.  That means it's even older than the mom and the dad. MOL!

Me in front of the Norwalk sign
Norwalk is about an hour from New York City on the Metro North Commuter Railroad, which the dad rides everyday to his job.  This is a railroad trestle that spans the Norwalk River.

The town is right on Long Island Sound, which means we have beaches, fishing, boats, and strong maritime vibe.

There's also lots of greenery, and with all the water around, we have some pretty good Bird TV here!

Quack quack, Mr. Duck!

Norwalk is also home to Stew Leonard's, the World's Largest Dairy Store (as verified by Ripley's Believe it or Not).  There are so many good noms at Stew's ... milk, cheese, chick-hen, lettuce and HAM!

Me at Stew Leonard's!

And maybe the most special thing about Norwalk is that it's where Pet Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) is located.  PAWS is where Mommy and Daddy volunteer (along with Tommie's Mommy). And where they reconnected and fell in love.  And where they gotcha'd me, my angel brothers Sammy and Graphite, and my angel sister Lady Madonna! :)

Me visiting my alma mater, PAWS

Fanks for reading and coming on my little tour of Norwalk, everybuddy.  I hope you were able to see some of its special-ness through my eyes.

Hugs!

Moosey

What's in a Name - Moosey

Hi everybuddy!  It's me, Moosey!
When the people at PAWS first rescued me from a kill-shelter, one of the first things they noticed was my size.  It's not always easy to tell from our blog posts, but I am taller and stockier than lots of other kitties.  So the PAWS folks named me "Moose."  Of course, after I was there for a while, all my human friends saw that I was also a very nice boy, who loved people and got along well with other kitties.  At some point, everybuddy started adding the -y to my name, because they said I was cute, and a sweet and gentle giant.  Mommy and Daddy fell in love with me while they were volunteering at PAWS, and adopted me.  And they thought my name was just right for me.  So we kept it! :)

Thanks to my awesome pals Oui Oui and Abbi for holding this fun event!  I'm looking forward to learning how everybuddy else got their names!

Big hugs and headbonks,

Moosey :)

Moosey's Christmas Wish

Santa, is that you?
Dear Santa,

I have been a really good boy all year.  I know it is a lot to ask for, but my wish is for all homeless pet animals to find their very own forever homes, where they are safe and loved.  Homes like the one Sammy and I have here with our mommy and daddy.  And like the ones that all of our Tabby Cat Club pals have.

Maybe you could start with homes for some of the kittehs at PAWS, where Sammy and I were gotcha'd from, and where Mommy and Daddy volunteer?

Love and kisses to you and the reindeer,

Moosey
