Situation #1
Q: Your human accidently leaves your treats out on the kitchen cabinet before leaving for work. You are not allowed on the cabinets, but you really, really want some treats. What would you do:
A: Is this an open bag or a closed bag? Because if it's an open bag, our answer is b) Sucker! She left them out, we're getting on the cabinets and eating treats until we barf.
However, we admit that she has, on occasion, left unopened (sealed) treat bags on the counter and they have remained untouched.
Nicki: I'm much more interested in sun puddles than treats.
(Yeah, right.)
(Yeah, right.)
Situation #2
Q: Your human comes home from work depressed. She starts telling you all about her bad day. What would you do:
A: Has she fed us yet? If she's not yet fed us, we'll pretend to be interested in what she has to say and in how she feels. On the other hand, if we have full stomachs our answer is c) After determining that this problem will not in any way affect our current napping/lounging in the garden schedule, walk away.
Derry: I don't care what kind of day the human had. Really.
Situation #3
Q: Your human is having guests stay at the house for a week. What would you do:
A: Okay, this is tricky. Who are the guests? If they're one of our "grandparents", well, they kinda smell the same as our human, so it's not so bad. Oh, sure, Derry will hide under the bed for a while, but then come down. Nicki, however, will be front and centre to greet whoever comes into the house and make sure they get down on the floor to give him belly scratches.
Extra hands means other people around the house
to let us out and in, to serve our every whim!
to let us out and in, to serve our every whim!
As an aside, we'd like to give Marg of Marg's Pets loud happy birthday meows today! She's a very special human, always rescuing and helping stray/feral/abandoned cats (and other critters!) and we hope she has a wonderful day!

Good answers Nick and Derry. ~Socks
Especialy liked your answer to number two. I will have to remember that!!!!
Super answers!! We agree....some human guests are better than others!!
The Florida Furkids
Casper would be all over an unopened treat bag in a second!!! He doesn't actually eat treats at all but likes to chew on the bag they come in - LOL
We think treats left out whether in a sealed or open bag are fair game. The open bag means less work though!

We like how you would pretend to care if you were hungry! We might try that. If we can work up the energy.
Your answer to number two was just brilliant, Nikki and Derry. We would pretend to be hungry, too .. hey, a human that feels "happy" is less apt to forget to feed us, right?
And we have the same #3 dichotomy in our house. Sammy is like the mayor when we have houseguests. I (Moosey) go UTB as soon as the doorbell rings!
Hugs!
