Sketching Dr. Seuss

Hola kitties! For those who saw my post yesterday this Dr. Seuss Day poem might not be new. I also showed a piece of artwork. You guys at Tabby Cat Club are going to see an early sketch of that artwork. Right here; right now.

The Cat in the Hat and the ghetto kitteh
Went partying in big New York City.
Out on the town our last dime we spent
So under the subway turnstiles we went
Mulberry Street station it ain't
So please don't get faint
Instead I just got out my paint.

I'm also posting this in the Caturday Art blog hop which is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty

You can find more Stunning Keisha fun at my bloggy every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Also follow me on Facebook for some cute memes. I can really use the follows.

Happy Sweeties Day

If you don't have a sweetie,  cuddle up with a nip toy like I'm doing. Humans should buy themselves a box of chocolates. Forget the heart-shape boxes though. You get less chocolate for more money.

Tocktober Stand-in

I didn’t really know Angel Derby but I salute him as the TCC celebrates Tocktober in his memory.

Since I don’t believe a cat of my statue [sic] should be showing her tocks, I have ordered commissioned HHGutt to do so in my stead. Of course I had to snoopervise to make sure he did it correctly. I wouldn’t even permit him the courtesy of a Band-Aid to cover sensitive areas. Scroll over the image to read what I told him.

Tocktober at the Tabble Cat Club

Head over the stunningkeisha.com tomorrow, Monday, October 19, to enter my very pawsome giveaway!

We Remember Today and Every Day

The Tribute in Light from our courtyard.

Today I’m sharing a post I rerun every year. My Pop and his friend worked a mere four blocks from the World Trade Center the day it was attacked. They witnessed the second plane as it passed their office window and flew directly into the South Tower. They share their memory of that most tragic day. It’s a long post but it’s so important to Never Forget.

We Remember …

Nicky, Autumn, Faith and Byg Tyn aka Chizzy today and always.

We also remember the Calico family: Gertrude, Tippy, Hope, Fred, and Rusty. We won’t forget Scruffy and her family Syssiknife and Wendell C. They are all part of our extended family.

Always in our hearts.

TW just remembered that Nicky went to the RB almost to this date 10 years ago and the keyboard is all wet. He’ll always be her heart cat.

Happy 4th of July!

Yo! It’s Independence Day in the U.S. of A. Purrsonally I declared MY independence on January 29, 2006, when I was busted out of the shelter. However, I’ve been told that this country busted out of a similarly bad situation and declared theirs way back in 1776.

I brought some food along if any cat is brave enough to try it. Dunno what it is but I liberated it from the peeps’ 4th of July table. I see cheese if any cat is into that and I’m sure we could have fun rolling that little red radish ball around.

Enjoy your 4th of July picnics, stay away from fireworks and enjoy your freedoms. Most of all follow the lead of our forefathers and don’t ever vote against your best interests.

Visit me at Stunning Keisha for some more July 4th fireworks.

Little Boxes

The headline is right. This certainly is a little box. Happy International Box Day everybuddy!

I used to sit in boxes all the time but not so much anymore. I associate boxes with the flashy box and that’s not a good thing.

On the other hand, this box is big enough to make a fort.

Thanks to the TCC and Sammy for hosting this event. I look forward to seeing everybuddies’ Box Day pics. The above pics have been Photoshopped to death. For some unedited fotos, come visit my International Box Day Foto Frenzy.

Feliz Cinco de Mayo

Happy Cinco de Mayo! I’ll be dj’ing at #Chilipawty on Twitter at 3 pm this afternoon playing lots of fiesta faves. I’m playing the Mexican Hat Dance just for Sammy since he’s graciously hosting this TCC pawty.

Every Cinco de Mayo, I share some jokes* with you and today is no exception.

Q: What’s a Mexican’s favorite sport?
A: Cross country.

Q: What do you call a completely shaven Mexican?
A: A smooth criminal.

Q: What do you call a Mexican driving a BMW?
A: Grand Theft Auto.

I am HHGutt and I do not approve of these jokes!

In the meantime, head on over to Stunning Keisha to read a very funny Cinco de Mayo story. There’s more jokes to entertain you.

*All jokes courtesy of jokes4us.

Get Your Jig On With CK

It’s a tradition on my blog StunningKeisha.com that I tell Irish leprechaun jokes for St. Paddy’s Day. Here are some of the better ones. What am I saying? They’re all funny.

Q: Why can't you borrow money from a leprechaun?
A: Because they're always a little short.

Q: Why don't you iron four-leaf clovers?
A: Because you don’t want to press your luck.

Q: Why does it take four Irishmen to change a lightbulb?
A: One to change the bulb. Four to remark about how grand the old bulb was.

Q: What's little and green and stuck to your bumper?
A: A leprechaun who didn't look both ways.

and finally,

Q: Why did St. Patrick drive all the snakes out of Ireland?
A: Because he couldn't afford plane fare.

Now that I’ve tickled your funny bone, are you ready to get your jig on? Cathy O’Keisha has some authentic Irish music for your listening pleasure. One two three jig!

Come join the pawty at stunningkeisha.com for more leprechaun jokes and stunning Irish images. Everybuddy gets complimentary CK Irish Cream Whiskey—heavy on the cream.

The Cat in the Hat Bites Back

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss. Unfortunately for this little ghetto kitteh, TW’s only Dr. Seuss memory is R.E.M.’s Michael Stipe reciting Green Eggs and Ham during one of their tours.  #senile

I tried my hand at a little Dr. Seuss-style poetry for this year’s post. In the image below, The Cat in the Hat is reading from my poem. Pretty neat, huh. To read the entire poem, visit www.stunningkeisha.com.

Cajun Bayou Pawty Time!

TW almost went to Mardi Gras with some friends 30 years ago. I did her one better by attending one at the Nipclub several years back. For today’s pawty at TCC, I’m wearing the same costume designed exclusively for me by the House of Glogirly Designs. They’re my favorite designers. I wouldn’t let anyone else outfit me.

I’d like to entertain y’all with my official Mardi Gras playlist. Most of the artists are from New Orleans and the music is fun.

Thanks to Sammy for throwing these festivities. Enjoy the music and have fun catching beads. YO! OVER HERE!!

Happy Australia Day

Sorry I’m so late. In a year called 2012, my furrends and I pawtied in Australia. Here’s a pic of the fun we had. I’m right in the middle and you can see Mario and Pumpkin Puddy. We all had a wonderful time raising money to save the bilbys. They’re such cute little guys.

Much like this pawty, there were hunnerts of us in attendance. You’ll have to biggify this pic to see me on the far right. There were cats, dogs, ducks and bunnies in attendance.

Thanks to Dinnermintz and Pickles for welcoming me back to sunny Australia. *Raises glass of Fosters*

It’s Cold Outside!

Now that the temps are in the teens and the wind chill in the minus digits, I’m glad I’m an indoor cat. Who am I kidding? I’m always glad to be an indoor kitteh and wish all other cats were too.

Wake me when it’s Spring.

I think the peeps keep the condo cool but they must have kept the old house really cold. Look at Faith all bundled up! She was a real tabby girl. Can you believe TW crocheted that blankie? She never made me a blankie like that.

And look at Nicky in the old house. Did they even have heat?

I think I’m lucky to be here in the draft-free condo even if it is only 66F.

Visit me for more Stunning Keisha humor and fotos.
